I have really gotten into coloring lately and like to sit in my bed and relax while doing so. The only problem I had was not having a hard surface to color on. I would lay the book on the bed and bend over to color. After a while that causes my back to hurt and I begin getting really stiff. I wanted something that I could put in my lap so I could sit back but still be able to color. That’s where this lap desk comes in.

This is a beautifully made lap desk and pen set. The desk is made of bamboo so it’s super smooth. The color is light wood grain. I was very surprised at the amount of space this has. The surface of this measures 22.5 x 15.5 inches. This allows me to put my coloring books on this and still have room for my hands. This lap desk is very light weight. I would guess that it weighs 3-4 lbs. It fits in my lap comfortably and doesn’t cause any discomfort after a long period of time. I love that the cushion on the bottom is removable. If this gets dirty or something gets spilled on it, I can take it off and throw it in the washer.

Overall, this is a great lap desk and I would buy again if the need arose.

Wooden Counting Number Frame

I have a daughter that has started kindergarten this year, so I have been looking for things to enhance her education experience from home. I’ve bought flashcards, board games, anything that I can think of really to continue educating her while she is at home. So, when I was offered this for testing I jumped on the opportunity.

The construction of this is fantastic. The wood is smooth and doesn’t have any rough edges. The round beads are all smooth as well. I love that there are different colored beads on this. It makes teach colors and grouping things so much easier. Each row has 10 beads and altogether there are 10 rows. This means I am going to be able to teach my daughter to count all the way to 100. This is also going to help me teach her how to add and subtract. I’ll be able to give her simple math problems and with the help of this Wooden Counting Frame, she will easily be able to figure it out by counting or subtracting the beads.

Not only is this great for learning colors and math, it is also great for hand and eye coordination. Little ones can learn how to move things with their hands and eyes.

Overall, this is an excellent educational toy and I would highly recommend.

Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Animal Designs

I absolutely love coloring. I have for as long as I can remember. So finding a good book to color in is always an adventure. I love books that have variety and patterns. I like simple drawings to the most intricate of drawings.

This books gives me everything I could want and more. Not only does this book have the photos that have deep dark outlines, it also gives you a few grayscale photos as well. While I am not great at the grayscale photos, I’m sure this would be a great thing to some others. The only medium I color with are gel pens. I love the way they flow on paper. Anyway, when using gel pens on the pages of this book, they did not bleed through onto other pictures. When using heavier mediums though, you will probably want to put a sheet of paper in between pages to prevent bleed through.

This book is full of variety. Yes all of the pictures are animals, but they are all unique. Some of them have more details that others. Some of them have flowers that go along with the animals. Some of them have trees, some of them are actually riding things, and the list goes on. There are large and small animals alike in this book. Every single photos in this book is well drawn and makes the experience even more enjoyable.

The binding on this book is very well done as well. It is secure and while flipping through the pages I didn’t have any issue with the paper separating from the binding.

Overall, this is an excellent book and would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys coloring.

My husband has needed a new pair of sunglasses for some time now but we haven’t had any luck finding a pair that will fit his movie star noggin. That is until now.

These sunglasses were the perfect fit for his big ole head. These sunglasses are lightweight and do not squeeze my husband’s head. The lenses on these offer great protection against UVA & UVB rays. Since these are tinted, they keep the sun out of my husband’s eyes very well. The frame on these is flexible so they have a more comfortable fit, unlike the hard rigid glasses. The nose pad on the glasses are made of a soft rubbery material so they don’t squeeze your nose like other sunglasses. This also allows them to stay put even if your are sweating.

These glasses are super easy to clean. We use glass cleaning wipes and the dirt and oil comes right off.

Overall, this a superior pair of sunglasses so if you are in the market for a new pair I highly suggest considering these.

I am a huge gamer and go through mice fairly quickly. I’m also very picky about the mice I use due to the nature of some of my games as well as my small hands.

This mouse has met all of my requirements and more. When holding this mouse it fits my hands well and has a very comfortable fit. This mouse can be personalized in many different ways. You can program the keys, DPI, LED colors and frequency, Vibration, and so many other things. You will need a driver for some of the customizations and should contact their customer service for the driver.  This mouse is a USB mouse so it should work with any device that has a USB port. When your mouse is plugged in the light show will begin. It is mesmerizing to watch the different colors. When gaming with this mouse the buttons are very responsive. I haven’t had any issues with lagging. To adjust the sensitivity of the mouse, simply click the + or - buttons on the top. It will change the speed at which your mouse crosses your page. The buttons on the side are programmable to your liking but as I said before you will have to contact their customer support to get the driver. If you are using a windows 8 computer, the buttons are programmed to a default setting. As the stock photo states: Key 1 is your left, Key 2 is your right, Key 3 is your middle, Key 4 is DPI+, Key 5 is DPI-, Key 6 is Back, Key 7 is Forward, Key 8 is Mode Switch, Key 9 is 3 Left Clicks.

Folding Serving TV Tray

I love eating in bed and watching tv. The only problem with that is I end up with crumbs all over the bed and I can NOT stand that. Luckily for me I was given the opportunity to test this tray out and was not about to pass it up.

This folding serving tray is approximately 19.5” x 11” x 2”. This has a place for my food, my drink, and my remote. This tray is super lightweight so I can move it around easily. I love that this has the folding capability. This makes it easier and more convenient to store.

When I’m not using this in my bed, I can also let my kids use this to eat when they are downstairs watching tv. This has help prevent several accidents already with them.

This tray is very easy to clean even with a 5 year olds mess on it. I simply used a bit of warm water and soap and the messes came right off.

Overall, I am very please with the design and portability of this tray and will probably be buying another one.

I have 3 children who seriously needed toys that were not electronics for the summer. I don’t want my kids to become tv zombies for the entirety of their summer so I have been on the hunt for non-electronic toys that will still keep them entertained. These bouncy balls are the first of the many toys I plan on purchasing this summer to keep them active and entertained.

With this set you get 12 different bouncy balls all with a different emoji face on them. Each ball is around 2 inches in diameter so these are perfect even for little hands. These are bit heavier than your average bouncy ball but I’m assuming that’s because of the light that is inside them. These do have a good bounce to them, although not as good as a standard bouncy ball. The light on the inside is bright and colorful. The colors switch between flashing red and yellow.

The only issue I had with these was that 2 of the ball lights did not work. I’m assuming the light just blew while being bounced around in shipping.

Overall, these are a big hit in my house and the kids have had a ton of fun bouncing them and throwing them at each other!

Each ball is around 2.5” in diameter and are easy to squeeze. You get 6 balls in this pack. You get 2 white, 2 yellow, and 2 red. Since this pack came with 6 I was able to give my husband 3 and I kept 3. I take one with me everywhere I go. I have one in my car, at my desk, and in my purse for when people get on my nerves in a store.

Not only are these balls good stress relievers, they are also great at working out sore hands. I type all day for a living and my hands tend to get really tense. These help work out the tension in my hands.

Each ball is made of some kind of foam that is covered in a plastic like paint. I’ve used these for a little over a week now and am noticing a slight difference in my mood for the better.

All of the stitching is tight and doesn’t look like it will come loose anytime soon.

I bought these for my 8 year old daughter and they fit her head very well. These are flexible enough that they don’t squeeze her head or hurt her behind her ears like the ones we’ve been buying at our local stores.

Spring time has arrived and soon it will be summer. For my family, this means lots of trips to the swimming pool. I’ll be honest, I’ve never used a swimming cap before and never really planned on using one until I was given the opportunity to test this one out.

I want to start by saying that I haven’t had the chance to wear this yet so I can not attest to how well this keeps water from getting on your hair. So this review will be over things I do know about the cap.

This cap is made of a thicker stretchy material. This cap goes on very easily and holds all of my hair without any issues. When this is on I did notice that there is a loose seal around the edges of my hair. This is a concern for me since I would only wear this to keep my hair from getting wet. To me it seems that since there is a loose edge that it would let water in and would cause my hair to get pool water on it. This cap is shaped so that there is a part of it that covers your ears. I really liked this part of the cap as I can’t stand water getting in my ears.

This cap comes with an added bonus of a nose plug. This was a pleasant surprise. I always wear a nose plug while swimming because when water gets in my nose it burns and then I end up with a nose bleed. I was needing a new pair so these being included was perfect.

This hair brush straightener is so much easier than your average flat iron. Not only does it heat up faster than my flat iron, it also does an amazing job of straightening my hair. This brush is also much safer than a flat iron because the combs on the brush prevent the hottest part from touching your scalp or little fingers that like to grab items off the bathroom sink.

When using a brush like this, you will want to make sure all of the tangles are brushed out of your hair. If you don’t it will pull your hair and that hurts like the dickens.

This is very simple and easy to use. There are 3 buttons on the handle that allow you to adjust the heat settings as well as power on/off your brush. The display on the handle is large enough to see easily and clearly. It displays the current temperature of the brush and allows you to see how much of the temperature you are adjusting when needed.

The temperature range does come defaulted to Celsius. If you would rather the temperatures range in Fahrenheit, simply hold down the plus and minus signs at the same time for around 3 seconds and it will switch between the two.  Once you get the temperature right for your hair type it shouldn’t take you long at all to straighten your hair. I have long thick hair and my entire head was straightened in about 10 minutes.

Another great thing about this straightener is the heat up time. It literally took less than 90 seconds for mine to heat up. The cord on this is 360° swivel cord which means there are no tangled cords.

This brush is such a huge time saver when I’m getting ready. What used to take me about 30 minutes now only takes me 10 minutes. Not only does this take less time to use than my traditional straightening iron, it also makes my hair look healthier.

Tomameri Purple Portable MP3 Player

Let’s face it. We should all have an MP3 player of some sort in this day and age. Whether we use our smartphone, dumbphone, or one of the many micro players available, life just isn’t the same without music on the go. But have you looked for one on Amazon or one of the many other sites? You get hundreds of results.

So how do you know which one is right?

The Tomameri player was an interesting find. The current price of $18.99 for all the listed functionality is almost too good to be true. 16 GB micro SD card support, MP3 and MP4 capability (music and movies!), FM radio, picture viewing, voice recording, and it can even be used to read e-books.

Can it do all of these things? Yes. But… It can do some of them better than others.

As an MP3 player it is amazing. It supports MP3, wma, FLAC and possibly a few other formats, so your music WILL be playable. Heads up though, no iTunes support (since this is NOT an Apple product). I have tried to play a myriad of MP4 files, and have gotten only 1 to work. Now, AMV files work just fine, but MP4 seems to be hit and miss, with more misses than hits. The FM radio is functional, but it doesn’t seem to have much range. The voice recorder actually works pretty well, and you can listen to your recordings by navigating through and finding the WAV files that it saves. As for navigation, this player is lacking an intuitive navigation control. It can be hard to navigate at times, but not impossible.

So, for $19 you can’t go wrong. However, if this ever goes back to the original price of $59.99, I’d avoid it.

Running Socks

I received the Running Socks from BGR8.

These socks are perfect for working out in. These socks fit perfectly and are extremely comfortable. I work out 4-5 times a week and normally my feet are soaked and have blisters forming because of the socks I wear. With these, they seem to soak up moisture and disperse it evenly so that my feet stay drier. These also have enough cushion that my shoes don’t rub blisters on me while wearing these. These also have enough cushion on the bottom of your foot that you feel like you’re walking on a plush carpet (at least that’s how they feel to me). These provide excellent arch support as well. So if you have tennis shoes that don’t have much arch support these will definitely help. The cut of these is low enough that they barely show over the top of my tennis shoes. I love the keep pushing logo on the socks. This reminds me to push through the weight training pain and become a better me :)
